A doctor is on call nights and on weekends for current patients. Patients who have a concern should call the general number where an answering service will page the doctor, who will return your call.
If you have a matter urgent enough to call the doctor after hours, make sure you are available at your call back number. Refrain from other calls that would result in a busy signal until the doctor calls you back.
You will also need to disable your call-block feature on your phone, as the call may be returned from a private number. (*82 will open your line to receive calls and disable the blocking feature).
If you determine you are having a life-threatening emergency, proceed to the emergency room or call 911. If our assistance is needed, the physicians on duty at St. Charles Hospital will contact the doctor on call.
